At the Cluster GUI team at Driver Systems - Embedded Software & Functions department, we are looking for experienced UI Developers to join us! As a member of our team, you will develop the graphical user interface for our next generation Instrument Cluster, our main way of interacting with the driver of our heavy trucks and buses.

Your new job
Your tasks will be gathering and clarifying requirements and developing GUI. You will be responsible for the technical feasibility of GUI implementation as well as functional level testing and documentation activities.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues at Interaction Design as well as colleagues at Cluster Software and System platform teams. You will have the possibility to build a wide network at Scania.
In our aim to constantly improve we are inspired by SAFe and you will be part of our journey towards being organized in what we call value creation teams.
Examples of tasks:
• Implementing parts of User functions GUI in the driver display Qt application, for example Tell-tales, notifications, gauges, and navigation
• Performing code review of work produced by other members of the team
• Together with the team creating and updating the Guardrails for how we use Qt at Scania
Your profile
We are looking for an independent developer who easily adapts to changing circumstances and who sees change as an opportunity. You are creative and innovative with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. You work well together with others and are happy to share knowledge within your team.
Do you understand how QML renders scenes and graphical objects? Are you familiar with dynamic object creation, creating QML objects with JS and how native QML works? Do you understand model-view-delegate concepts and are confident in how to create QML types in C++? Great! Then you are likely to already have the qualifications we need in our team.
If you do not know these things but are intrigued and feel ready to get learning, you might also be the one we are looking for. As long as you have:
• a solid background as C++/ embedded SW developer preferably with Scania/heavy truck industry knowledge!
• 3-5 years relevant work experience
• Proficient English, both written and verbal
• Academic degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
What makes you stand out:
• Experience from working with embedded systems, preferable embedded automotive systems
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet
• Drivers Licence for heavy vehicles (Swedish C - level)
