Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Our future trucks need a flexible test environment to speed up the development phase and to simulate more, rather than perform tests in real vehicles. In order to be able to test the vehicle's software, we need to have state of the art HIL-systems that supports a large number of truck and bus configurations.

We will now launch a restart called Target 2025 and build a test environment in our HIL (Hardware In the Loop) rigs that are future proof, modularized and can be easily maintained. This is a unique possibility to be a part of a work where we together with our cross function colleagues within the framework and hardware, rebuild our HIL.

For this journey, we are looking for experienced, persistant and motivated colleagues who wants to contribute to this new mission.
The group

Our group consists of 10 employees that are working closely with the hardware and framework groups. To our help we also have satellite teams with 8 people. We have respect for the individual, strive to have fun at work and an open mind and attitude. We develop and deliver as a team.

Your task in our group
You will be a part of the system integration team and your task will mainly be to develop and maintain models executing in a real time environment. You will contribute to develop the HIL-environment on model level as well as with the architecture.

Together with the group you improve our working methods and eliminate waste. You will work close to ECU's for a complete vehicle which gives you possibilities to gain knowledge about all systems and new technologies.

Your profile
You have a system engineering background and an interest of learning our HIL-systems. Some years of system development and programming is mandatory. We use Matlab, Simulink and some Python. Previous experience will help you to come up to speed but simulation platform understanding is more important. Experience of control systems, a software/hardware understanding and automation test systems is needed to be able to do the job.

HIL environments are complex by nature and requires understanding of the whole vehicle, knowledge of electric circuits as well as development processes.

You have good communication skills and like to drive things forward together with your team members. You are eager to learn about new technologies and combine that with your previous experience and personal skills.

You are fluent in English, both speaking and writing and learning Swedish is a goal. A requirement is a class B driving licence, C driving license is meriting.

We offer

• A mix of young and experienced team members
• A unique possibility to contribute to our HIL-rigs future architecture with our rebuild
• A work close to all embedded systems in our vehicles that gives you a good understanding of Scanias products
• The possibility to work with the latest technology within electric- and autonomous vehicles
• Collaboration with the owners of the different embedded systems that will give you a broad network within Scania
