Connectivity at Scania is one of the keys in Scania strategy. At the connectivity department we work with the enabling solutions with a span from vehicle, via Telecom to the cloud.
This is an opportunity to join the group Telematic Services. The main focus is currently to develop a communication solution in AWS integrated with different telecom operators. Applications like C-ITS and autonomous vehicles have new requirements for latency, bandwidth and QoS that drives the need to evolve the connectivity link between vehicle and cloud.
What you will do
You will contribute to develop a central and prioritized part of the connectivity platform, the connection between vehicle and cloud. This is used by all connected services at Scania, therefore quality is really important. There is an opportunity to work all the way from vehicle with embedded Linux to AWS with .NET Core but focus is cloud.
Scania has an own protocol for this communication, this enables efficient communication. To be able to handle new requirements this protocol have to be updated for improved performance.
Test includes everything from real truck to automated tests in AWS. The team also have an own rig with own developed test framework for regression test.
The role can be customized according to your interests, abilities and what you want to learn.
