As a Developer Advocate you focus on supporting the 3rd party developers who are building games and businesses on our technology . You are a passionate evangelists for our technologies and vision as well as a vocal champion for developer interests within King. This is a position for engineers who love connecting with developers and speaking publicly about cutting-edge technologies on conference panels, at user groups, on blogs and with the press in collaboration with PR. Defold game engine as well as our other platforms are some you promote and support. You foster a community of developers working with Defold technologies and help drive strategy around our Developer Relations.

Responsibilities:

• Speak about our technology at internal and external conferences and other industry events
• Promote our technology through articles, blogging, social media
• Hold user demonstrations, recorded demonstrations, or the creation of sample projects at Game Jams
• Work with external game developers in Europe and US to evangelise Defold and drive significant business and user value.
• Evangelise our technology internally at King
• Take regular, engineering-focused meetings with partners to help them complete the integration.
• Together with Community Manager collect and bring user feedback to product, marketing, and business development at King.
• Connect with potential business partners

Minimum qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of relevant work experience, including experience working directly with large partners.
• Programming experience
• Ability to regularly travel.

Preferred qualifications:

• 6 years of relevant work experience, including experience blogging and writing technical articles with an existing follower base, as well as experience working directly with press and bloggers.
• Excellent public speaking skills and charisma, with experience presenting to large technical audiences.
• Considerable success as a software developer, architect, technology evangelist, CTO, or consultant working with web or mobile technologies.
• Strong command of web application or mobile application development landscapes.
• Experience of game development and indie development community
