Role Summary
As a System engineer and a member of the Brake System team you will have a unique opportunity to be involved in both product development and industrialization. We are currently in an exciting development phase, and you will be the link between our supplier and product development at Scania. You will help the team pace the work in your system to meet promised deliveries, drive the development as well as escalating and follow up on deviations.
Job Responsibilities
• You will be responsible for the product deliveries; ensuring quality, safety, security, and legal compliance.
• Tasks include developing, specifying and documenting product definitions, prioritizing and planning mitigations for deviations, and continuous improvement to meet new requirements.
• Perform testing in complete vehicles on the Scania test track, as well as going to winter tests and test tracks at our system suppliers.
• Analyze and document test results.

Who You Are
• Team player with the ability to grasp the bigger picture.
• Experience in development of embedded system and control systems.
• Ability to plan work both long-term and short-term.
• Preferably a Master's degree in Science or a relevant field.
• It is desirable that you have a driver's license for heavy trucks (C/CE), or are willing to obtain one.

The Brake System team designs and develops embedded systems for vehicle braking and air management, ensuring safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. The team works on critical systems that keep vehicles safe and efficient.
The team works in close collaboration cross-functionally within Traton R&D, purchasing, production, logistics, aftermarket service as well as with suppliers of control systems.
