You have a master's degree in computer science or similar and are an all-round driven developer who enjoys working with many different types of tasks. In order to succeed in the position you need knowledge in system development for Linux using languages and tools such as C, PHP, HTML, SQL and Ajax. Experience in embedded development is also required as you will do this within our network cameras and video servers but also in other embedded device types.
As you will support and collaborate with partners around the world you need to have good English skills. Furthermore we think you like to travel, are outgoing and like to meet and communicate with new people.
If you have knowledge in other languages apart from English and Swedish this will be considered a plus.
THE SUBSCRIBER TECHNOLOGY SERVICES (STS) TEAM
The STS team develops and is responsible for the ST System as well as development support to ST System operators that provide large-scale surveillance and monitoring solutions mainly for the small business market. The team works closely with many types of partners, such as ISPs, system integrators and security operators.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As developer in the STS team you will have the opportunity to work with system development in many different areas and environments. We are therefore looking for an individual that finds this kind of broad work stimulating.
A big and important part of your job will be support and collaboration with partners all over the world, particularly during the initial staging of their systems, but also during expansion and when updates and modifications are required. We therefore believe that you enjoy working with external partners and that you when needed are prepared to travel. A part from this your main tasks will be:
• System development, including but not limited to C, PHP, HTML, Ajax, database development, high availability and redundancy for large systems, operating systems, etc.
• Support and collaboration with partners around the world
• Embedded development, mainly within network camera and video server
• Pre-sales discussions and partner training
• Working with large scale Telco grade system development
