hela Sverige The Support Solution Design department consists of approximately 100 employees. We produce technical information, maintenance preparation, training materials and illustrations for both Saab products and other suppliers' products.
The Strategy and staff section is now developing a function that will have the opportunity to lead and coordinate SAAB Aeronautics work developing Additive Manufacturing as a business solution to our products - Additive Manufacturing for Support (AM for Support).
Your role
Responsibilities include:
* Coordinate projects and initiatives in AM within Gripen Sustainment
* Be a driver for ideas and business opportunities involving AM for Support
* Develop business cases together with Program Management
* Lead the Gripen Sustainment internal AM team, and represent Gripen Sustainment in Aeronautics Center of AM (ACAM)
* Be a driver for develop an AM Support Strategy within Gripen Sustainment
* Support our Product Department to define new products regarding AM techniques
* Act as a liaison between different departments regarding Support Solutions
* Have a good understanding how to utilize AM technique and understanding of limitations regarding "AM for Support"
You will have the opportunity to develop a role and function, and network over the whole of Aeronautics, as well as collaborate with other Business Areas within SAAB.
The task involves, among other things, shaping future support services such as:
* With AM technology manufacture spare parts very quickly and with high precision for, among other things, vehicles and other equipment used by the Armed Forces. Create the ability to manufacture complex and specialized parts that are no longer manufactured.
* Increase the flexibility of the logistics system for our customers. Develop the Battle Damage Repair (BDR) capability to manufacture spare parts and also unique tools and aircraft maintenance equipment as needed. But above all, it is repairs on existing items that can make a difference in a sharp situation.

Your profile

You have experience from Additive Manufacturing, not necessarily as a specialist, but with a broad and general understanding. You grasp the possibilities and limitations of AM, and always have an eye on the technical development and hoe AM can be used.
Knowledge and experience of market, process and/or system development are meritorious, as is experience of working with improvement work to enable cost savings and improve product quality.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
