About the position
Perido is looking for a Senior Desktop Technical Specialist for one of our clients in the financial business. The office is located very central in scenic Umeå, one of the beautiful big cities of the spectacular High Coast.
Your daily tasks
Accountable for desktop infrastructure support within global based team you will work closely within a small team to maintain high levels of support in order to maximize system availability and to develop and deliver pro-active solutions to Windows-/Linux-/Apple- based infrastructure issues. You are a local point of escalation for all end user queries and issues ensuring effective documentation and knowledge sharing of all applicable fix's. You also develop and maintain SLA:s and compliance within the company's financial environment. Furthermore, you develop and maintain Windows systems and distribution process and ensure that all problems are documented and that all clients are supported in most deficiencies/fix problems.
Your qualifications
In this role we see that you have a minimum of 3-year experience in a support-based role with focus on face to face communication. You will need to be confident in multi-client support and have a range of skills including workload prioritization and the ability to multi-task. We believe you have proven knowledge and experience of Microsoft infrastructure, troubleshooting and support of Outlook mail clients, Active Directory, Desktop virtualization (Citrix) and dealing with client requirements and expectations with a high level of service mind. It's also required that you have proven experience in documenting and transferring of knowledge and pro-active improvement plans.

We see that you have:
Minimum 3+ years in a Support based role
Proven knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure and products including Win7, Win10 and Office application suite
Troubleshooting and support of mail clients Outlook 2007 - 2016
Experience with Active Directory
Practical understanding of networking LAN/WAN and TCP/IP, VPN
Practical understanding of PXE imaging service with a focus on multiple of operating systems (Windows, Apple, Linux)
Experience of Apple, Android, Windows phones and Mobile Iron
Experience with Desktop virtualization (Citrix)
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Big plus:
Understanding of Exchange infrastructure/administration
Active Directory domain admin level
Practical understanding of UNIX/Linux with basic Bash command skills
MAC OS-X desktop environment understanding/Troubleshooting
Contract type and hours
Full time contract 12 months. Start 1st of January 2021. End 1st of January 2022.
