The group Inner Maneouvering within transmission development are designing and testing high-performing parts aimed for excellent gearshifting properties. Our product portfolio includes innovative hardware solutions both for e-mobility and vehicles with combustion engines. As a designer you are part of our innovative team developing our products. At our group we have a work environment where we help and trust each other and where all skills and experiences are utilized in the best way possible.
Your assignment
As a designer and component owner within our group Inner Maneouvering you will be responsible for hardware parts. This means that you design the parts, create the drawings, communicate with assembly, machining or sourcing department at Scania and/or external suppliers. You will work closely with the design engineers responsible for neighboring parts. You will define tasks for simulation and test activities, and by using your understanding of the trucks usage determine if the parts fulfill what are expected of them. You have access to an experienced team comprising of other design engineers and test engineers that support each other and work as a team to ensure that the end product meets the customers targets. As part of our team you will follow the development of the hardware from idea to finalized product and will be an important part of the continuous learning in the team.
Your profile
• You are goal-oriented and interested to expand your skillset in future-oriented technologies, such as hybridisation and electrification
• You have a positive attitude and you are a person that take initiative, enjoy learning new things and like to work with varying tasks
• An academic education is required
• You should master Swedish and English in speech and writing
