hela Sverige Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.The interior design group is responsible for developing the interior of the Scania cab, including products like seats, beds, storage, floor coverings, and trims. As Scania is driving the shift towards autonomous driving, a new product in the interior is design of components connected to this.
We have several interesting projects in front of us so we need an additional designer to manage these challenges.
The Role
Our development work in this position is based on the designer doing the
drawings, models, and specifications. You will get a wide network working together with colleagues from industrial design, ergonomics, production, purchasing, and our suppliers in creating the best solution for the purpose.
Members of this group have all worked a longer time within this area, so you will without any doubt find support if needed.
Your background
We believe you have a university degree in mechanical engineering, product development, or similar. You have experience in Catia V5 and if you have been working with Enovia it is an advantage. You have knowledge and experience in product development of plastic and sheet metal components.
Your personal qualities
You are a flexible, creative, and diplomatic person as many interests must be weighed together in the development work. We believe that you can communicate in a balanced and clear way with those affected. You are interested in the emotional values of the design, what it looks like, what impressions the product gives, does it "feel" good. If you have an interest in creating prototypes on your own or together with colleagues it is positive.
