Product Development Unit Packet Core (PDU PC) is a global R&D unit responsible for delivering products and solutions to our many global customers. We develop mobile core network nodes with market leading functionality, crafted for efficient, reliable, and secure operations.
The virtualized Packet Core portfolio addresses needs from traditional large-scale mobile broadband and communication services down to niche small-scale solutions. Packet Core develops the next generation 5G Core portfolio, evolving architecture, cloud native, end-to end use cases and engaging in new market segments.
Product Development Group Solution, within PDU PC, is now looking for a curious and committed employee who enjoy a flexible Designer role where the keywords are innovator and integrator within the PDG Solutions responsibility areas. The purpose of this role is to increase the flexibility within Packet Core Solution to support and run assignments such as prototyping, demo activities as Mobile World Congress or similar and other assignments where innovation and integration is keywords.
The mission for PC PDG Solutions is to contribute to profitable SA Packet Core business by providing means for efficient Sales & Delivery of the applications developed at PDU Packet Core. Our results enable the customer units to build high quality commercial proposals with accurate and driven scope, dimensioning and time plans and to close customer contracts with help of compelling demos and trials.
Key tasks are:
To be passionate about innovation, prototyping and pre-development, taking the technical leadership in teams by showing the way to build products and solutions, sharing knowledge and making others grow. You will also take ownership for an idea and develop a prototype possible to integrate in our solutions, prepare and execute demos in Mobile World Congress (MWC in Barcelona) and likely support critical projects.
Your qualifications are:
Curios about new technologies, design thinking, innovation and thinking out of the box, seek to invent and impact
Very good understanding of all Packet Core products and solutions
Highly skilled product knowledge from a system and function test point of view for at least one of the products: SGSN-MME, EPG, PCC and PCG (physical, virtualized, containerized).
In-depth understanding and experience of integration and verification (NIV, ST, FT) including test tools (Dallas and other) and management and automation.
Experience from Troubleshooting, in different environments (Linux, UNIX etc.) and different tools (Wireshark etc.) and scripting competence
Very good in communicating and explaining our products and solutions.
You are Proactive, with an aim to seek problems and growing your knowledge but also an excellent teammate with high social skills
Forward-thinking and with good communication skills, proficient in both written and spoken English
