We offer an international and dynamic environment in Söderfors. Habia is one of the leading wire and cable manufacturers and you will be helping us create custom designed solutions for our customers. As Designer you will be part of a small, engaged team working proactively to make a difference with our design solutions.
Main assignments and responsibilities
The main assignment as designer is to understand the customer requirements, be able to create drawings and cost calculations for the sales team (and review and perform the order preparation when placed) as well as providing technical support to our production facility and our sales team.
You will be working with evaluating technical inquiries, decide the necessary requirements, propose a cable design, clarify possible deviations and present the final solution. You may be required to participate in customer meetings, both as technical support as well as to assemble requirements.
You will be in charge of reviewing and approving designs, drawings and guidelines. To prepare, handle and follow up orders is also a part of your day-to-day job, as well as calculating prices and finalising cost calculations, material and manufacturing costs. You will also contribute with technical knowledge and support in connection to designs during manufacturing.
Necessary skills to be successful
• Post-secondary education, preferably in polymer or electrical engineering.
• Swedish and English is mandatory, other languages is preferred.
• Experience from cable manufacturing/design is preferred.
• Good knowledge in computer programs such as MS Office, IFS etc. Training in specific cable design software will be given once you start.
• Communication skills
• Service minded
• Good at multi-tasking (inquiries/support/phone calls/e-mail)
• Team member spirit
