Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania's electrification journey is accelerating and the electrification of transmissions is a central feature of this move. The electrification of Scania's products plays an essential role in Scania's shift towards sustainable transport solutions and this is now our main focus area.

We are looking for several design and test engineers who want to join the group that is responsible for electrifying Scania's gearboxes and designing electric motor modules and have an influence on what Scania's electrified powertrains will look like in future.

Your role
Your position as a design engineer in the field of electrification will give you a unique overall responsibility and the opportunity to work with several different components and subsystems. You will be involved in one of the following areas: electric motor housings, axles, bearings, gears, control systems, lubrication/cooling systems or electric motor integration.

In your role as a test engineer you will run function, performance and endurance tests of electrical and mechanical systems. You will measure and evaluate the performance of the electric motor, the distribution of oil, the performance of the control system, the cooling capacity, the temperatures and the loads. The tests will be carried out on test rigs and in vehicles. You will develop new test methods and test cycles for a new and as yet unexplored product area.

You will also work with our colleagues at MAN Truck & Bus and with external suppliers all over Europe.

Your profile

You must be self-motivated and have a positive attitude, a structured approach to work and a strong sense of responsibility. You are very interested in technology and have good analytical skills. You have a demonstrated ability to present and document your work in an informative way and to draw concise conclusions.

You have an academic education and probably at least three years' experience of design or testing. You have good spoken and written Swedish and English. Experience of powertrain development is a bonus.
