We are looking for two (2) brilliant Front End Developers, supporting our drive toward the highest standards of digital products and services for customer success throughout our global business in Trucks and Construction Equipment. Volvo Group Product Design is in an expansive phase, pushing boundaries into new technology areas and innovative fields of design. We offer a creative environment and interesting and challenging projects in a truly international context.
The Front End Developer is a creative "bridge" --supporting our design team with fast and agile prototypes, and the technical team with optimized front end code that can easily be integrated in their robust system.
The Front End Developer possesses and employs a user-centric design approach, discovering users' unmet needs and implementing new solutions into complex machines. Our Front End Developer is comfortable with experimentation, employing progressive, ingenious methods to advance the brand expression.
Requirements
• Degree within IT, Computer Science or similar
• Proficiency with creating prototype or production code in close collaboration with Design, Business and Back-End teams
• Ability to prototype concepts and interpret user feedback
• Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of embedded technologies used in onboard systems and web-mobile solutions
• Experience from mobile application (Android & IOS) and/or game development is a merit
• Proficient in object oriented programming
• Experience from front end development in Android and embedded solutions (QT, QML, XML), Unity, Unreal and C++ programming -as well as in common vehicle protocols such as CAN/LIN-are a plus!
