Product Documentation is a department within Volvo Penta Product & Solutions Development (PSD). We are responsible for support, quality assurance and training regarding the documentation of Product data in the PDM (Product Data Management) systems (KOLA, POS, CAD). Furthermore, the department has the responsibility for the 3D modelling process & the Creo CAD systems, creates Computer Generated Images and supplies drawings and models to the Sales system. We are also responsible for the unique Volvo Penta PSD IT-systems as well as the IT-systems PSD share with Volvo Group.
This is how you could make an impact
You will primarily check drawings, and pedagogically explain to designers how to do the technical documents of the product correct. The position also includes to develop instructions and utilities to the designer's aid at our CAD-Wiki and giving educational training to the designers. Your CAD knowledge is an asset and will be used at times for CAD checking.
Who are you?
You have extensive experience of creating and interpreting technical documents like drawings etc. Work with geometrical tolerances is easy, and you have a broad knowledge of materials, standards and design such as casting, plastics and sheet metal. Systems like KOLA, PDMLink, CREO, KNOX and Rfas are well known to you.
You recognize the benefits of good cooperation. You are service minded, well organized and comfortable to work both independently and in teams. You are used to helping people and enjoy guiding them with kindness and clarity.
