InfiMotion Technology develops, manufactures, and sells high performance electric drive units for fully electric vehicles, addressing the whole value chain, including production software and single components.
InfiMotion was founded in 2021 in Wuxi, China, and lead investors are companies such as Geely Auto, Lotus and Ningbo Luma, with a professional board of directors with experienced powertrain and automotive executives from well-known Geely Holding companies.
By the end of 2022, InfiMotion aims to have 700 experienced employees across two R&D Centers in Gothenburg Sweden and in Wuxi China. The InfiMotion team has been responsible for over two million sold units to date, by which over 100 000 were delivered to the European market. The first batch of new high-performance products went in to production early 2023.
The Role;
InfiMotion is looking to strengthen the Propulsion System and Electric Drive team with a Design Responsible Engineer Thermal Management System, specialized in cooling and thermal design of electric drive systems including inverters, motors, and transmissions.
You will work broadly, supporting and leading the global team in the development of thermal systems and cooling solutions. You will work with focus on hardware design including FEA, CFD, and/or 1D simulations of complete cooling systems for electric drive units. You are expected to maintain close collaboration with the global InfiMotion team as well as lead and coordinate suppliers to ensure deliveries. This role includes leading development and design of new products and technologies with other experts and senior engineers, supporting strategic- and technology decisions towards senior management. In summary:
• Strong system mindset with development and optimization of new and optimize thermal system for electric drive units towards best balance between performance, efficiency, durability, and cost.
• You will evaluate and design complete electric drive cooling systems.
• Be a part of a cross functional team, supporting software and hardware development for complete electric drive units.
• Represent and lead InfiMotion in customer and supplier meetings.
• Lead and take part in Advanced Engineering projects related to electric drive systems.
• Co-operate with our colleagues in China and meet with our EU-based customers.
• Drive the complete system development and optimization within InfiMotion.
Requirements to succeed in this role;
You have a Bachelor, preferably a Master 's degree, in mechanical engineering, engineering physic or similar experience, specialized in thermal and cooling design.
Experience within cooling system design (preferably within automotive).
Fluent in English is mandatory.
Merits
• Experience in programs like StarCCM, Particleworks, Fluent, GTSuite, Amesim, or similar.
• Worked in industrialization projects.
• Experience of motor, inverter, or transmission cooling design and testing is a merit.
• Swedish or Chinese language and working experience in Europe.
