hela Sverige Our environment and society's transport needs are undergoing major changes. Urbanization, climate change and digitalisation are examples of current trends that create both challenges and opportunities for the sustainable and efficient transport systems of the future. By understanding and profiting from opportunities in this development, Scania wants to strengthen its position in sustainable transport.
Innovation Office develops new innovations and business opportunities for Scania beyond the company's current business. The work is mostly conducted in project form and ranges from trend and scenario analysis and systems research to exploratory design and business building. The new solutions developed can be aimed at Scania's existing market or completely new customers. The projects often involve colleagues from other parts of Scania and / or other companies as well as representatives of society, academia and research centers. Many projects take place within the framework of government research programs.
Projects can run anywhere from a few months to a few years and involve everything from a few people to extensive consortia consisting of dozens of outside organizations that contribute their own resources. The work is usually strongly iterative and design-oriented. Design thinking permeates everything we do, from system level to business development.
Tasks
• Support the group's discovery team in organizing and facilitating studies and workshops in understanding the world around us, such as trend reconnaissance and scenario work.
• Participate in project teams doing exploratory research and innovation, either as project / team leader or in a more operational role, and contribute to new innovation by proactively driving the design work forward together with the team
• Continuously visualize and communicate results through engaging workshops to create insights both within your project and for different parts of Scania
• Support project management in the coordination with project partners and help project participants understand and practice design thinking
You will work with trend analysts, technical experts, designers, entrepreneurs and innovation coaches who together form a strong team in the work of finding the transport and logistics solutions of the future. The work normally takes place at Scania R&D in Södertälje, at our innovation lab in Stockholm city or out in the field. Due to Covid-19, however, the work is currently conducted online.
Your profile
You are driven by a great curiosity for the needs of both society and individual users and how you can contribute to satisfying both of these needs with new solutions. You have a desire to convey insights and empathy for user problems to your surroundings. You are used to independently conduct user studies and transforming observations into insights, both yourself and through leading workshops with many participants. You have experience from contributing to and also taking a leading role in applying service design methods in project form.
You have high social skills, like to present and are easy to collaborate in a project organization. You take initiative, plan, operate, and deliver independently within your own area of responsibility.
