Job Summary
Are you passionate about turning creative ideas into reality? Do you have a keen eye for design and possess in-depth knowledge of packaging materials and printing techniques? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Design Prototype Expert at Tetra Pak!
You will be part of the Customer Experience team in Lund, which hosts Tetra Pak customers and prospects from all over the world. You will be at the forefront of bringing our customers' visions to life and managing a team to maintain the Package Sample Shop's smooth operations.
This is a permanent position, and you will be based in Lund, Sweden. Some travelling is required.
What you will do
As a Design Prototype Expert, you will be responsible for collaborating closely with our customers to materialize their ideas into tangible packaging designs. Your expertise in design tools and printing techniques will be utilized to showcase the full potential of our packaging materials and help customers visualize their products on the market. The Package Sample Shop operation will be under your responsibility.
Main responsibilities:
Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customers to understand their design requirements and ideas. Act as a design consultant, offering valuable insights to improve the feasibility and visual appeal of their concepts.
Prototyping and Design Development: Utilize your expertise in design tools and packaging printing techniques to create high-quality design prototypes. These prototypes will serve as proof-of-concept for customers, demonstrating the feasibility and aesthetics of their packaging designs.
Line manager responsibility: You will be responsible for the Package Sample Shop team and for Blue Collar and White Collar consultants.
Productively managing the Package Sample Shop: Maintain the standards of printed mock-up quality, cost-efficiency and safety guidelines while managing the Package Samples Shop production and team. You will also be responsible for keeping track of the cost centre.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with our Customer Experience and Marketing Services team to deliver seamless integration of design concepts into all customer related projects.
We believe you have
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
Proven experience in utilizing design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Midjourney) and a deep understanding of packaging printing techniques.
A desire to manage a team to deliver on quality and productivity. A previous experience on managing teams is considered a plus.
Strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in packaging design and prototype development.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas to customers and internal stakeholders.
A creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and propose innovative design solutions.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
