You? A Design Ops professional eager to contribute, shaping a fresh team and enabling designers to do truly exceptional work.
Role? A key role to establish and evolve the brand new discipline of Design Operations in Nordic Marketplaces, working with a vibrant community of 80+ designers across 6 business units in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. This is a unique opportunity to influence the design culture and workflows that ensure that our designers have the support they need to deliver exceptional experiences.
Location? We work in a hybrid way and would love to meet you at our office in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki or Aarhus, 1-2 days per week.

WHO ARE YOU?

You bring at least 5 years of experience working in design or product-related roles.

You have a solid product development and/or design background , ready to use your insights to enhance our design practice.

You're passionate about enhancing design experiences by implementing effective processes and fostering dynamic collaboration.

You have a curious and experimental mindset, the role requires looking out for new ways of doing things.

You're flexible, adaptable and thrive as a self-starter.

You can go from overseeing an entire process to being involved directly in specific hands-on work.

You're familiar with various workshop techniques, frameworks, and product development tools.

You enjoy building relationships and have the ability to influence individuals across various locations, cultures, and disciplines.
WHAT'S THE JOB LIKE?
You will report to and work in close collaboration with the Design Ops Manager. Your day-to-day work will revolve around the development and shaping of our new Design Ops practice. This includes identifying the organization's needs related to processes, tools, documentation, and guidelines.
Your role will be instrumental in streamlining workflows, standardizing systems, documenting progress, and showcasing the impact of Design Ops within our organization. Your efforts will ensure the enhancement of design quality and performance. You will measure, implement, and drive changes to make sure designers are working at optimum effectiveness; as well as contribute to establishing the ways of working for the Design Ops team. You will also be expected to collaborate closely with stakeholders in our different business units.
Though exciting, this journey will come with its challenges as you navigate this new setting and take the Design Ops practice from its nascent stages to a robust and well-functioning operation.
Goals:
In your first six months, we expect you to immerse yourself in our team and community, gain a clear understanding of our processes, identify improvement areas, and begin to implement changes.
12 months into the role, we're eager to see you fully owning the Design Ops practice and delivering impactful changes across the organization. You'll have the opportunity to become a specialist in different areas as we continue to grow the team. What lies beyond? As a part of our new team of two, you along with the Design Ops manager, will navigate an energetic and forward-thinking environment.
You will also join a robust design community that includes over 80 designers, based in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki, and Aarhus. This design community stretches across Schibsted's Nordic Marketplaces, offering a broad horizontal experience.
