Design Manager Exterior Parts and Lighting
As part of a creative and dynamic team working with an exciting range of new products you will create & develop design proposals ranging from initial concept work through to final production for all lamps/exterior lighting and cross car exterior details.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Lead a team of designers working with design proposals ranging from initial concept work through to final production execution regarding parts and exterior lighting in all programs.
• Organise and guide design activities to secure program deliveries according to design directions.
• Act as mentor for design team to improve design quality and efficiency.
• Support design director in assessing team performance.
• Speaking partner with project engineering and program management. Design representative in relevant meeting foras.
• Organise design reviews in collaboration with design project leader.
Requirements
• University degree in transportation design.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in car design.
• Experience working with automotive lighting within a global organization.
• Experience in leading design teams.
• Full understanding of complete car development process. Solid experience in CAD 3D design process and software (Alias, VRed).
• Experience with Asian OEMs is a plus.
• English fluent, both verbally and written.
