Design Manager
As Design Manager in Biotage you are responsible for the Global Marketing Production and Design within the business. You lead a team of two professional Marketing Designers, one in Uppsala and one in Cardiff and you have the full managerial responsibility of this team. Within the scope of the function you manage the corporate webs, brochure/graphic design projects and provide marketing design related support to the rest of the organisation. You also project manage the global marketing initiatives within your area of responsibility, for example e-commerce, web redesign/migration etc.
Apart from strategically lead the function you are also expected to do hands-on design work for web and brochures as well as act backup of Designer staff if needed.
The role is based in Uppsala, Sweden and reports to Vice President of Marketing. The global responsibility requires some travel, mainly to our office in Cardiff, Wales.
Required qualifications:
Strategic thinker to design what is necessary infrastructure for future Biotage
Proven leadership experience
Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
Highly creative and diligent to manage multiple projects in fast paced work environment
Working knowledge of software for web, DTP, drawing, photo editing and office applications
Preferred qualifications:
Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to collaborate on team and respond to internal and external customers
BA in Web Development or Graphic Design, or 3+ years of working experience in these areas
Brand management and development experience is an advantage
