You hold a technical degree and you have at least 5 years of working experience. You have in-depth knowledge of high-definition and high-resolution video equipment and software, image manipulation software, and real-time camera switching. It's meritorious if you know how a network is built up. and if you have been working with C++. You need to be fluent in English, written and spoken alike.
As a person you have a commercial focus. You also have a result- and quality focus and deliver timely and in an efficient manner.
Ports is a business unit within Industrial Automation in Västerås that works with movement control and information systems for container and industrial cranes and ship unloaders and to optimize the transport of containers and steel products to create rapid and cost effective goods handing.
In a modern container terminal there are remotely, via video, controlled Ship-To-Shore cranes, which handle the loading/off-loading of the container ships. These are in the storage yard supported by stacking cranes, robotized cranes weighing hundreds of tons, which automatically move and with high precision stack the containers. The operation of all the cranes is controlled from a central control room in order to optimize the productivity of the terminal.
