We're expanding our team and are now looking for a design engineer who is passionate about problem solving, quality and cost efficiency. Don't miss this opportunity to further develop yourself as an engineer within product follow-up at truck chassis development. Who we are
At product follow-up we are responsible for all of the truck chassis related components and systems. Our main task is to work with quality issues, in the field and in production. The assignments also focus on cost reduction and market adaptations. We pride ourselves on being able to quickly adapt to new challenges, as our responsibility area is wide.
We work in close contact with other departments such as testing, purchase, market and production. New challenges are the increased demand of sustainable transports including fuel efficiency, range, weight, alternative fuels, electrification and autonomization.
The task
Our goal is to improve the quality for the customer, at the fastest time possible. You will be a key player and technically responsible in our assignments led by either yourself or one of our assignment leaders in a cross-functional team.
In all of our assignments, the mission is to define and verify the root cause of the deviation, redesign, develop and implement a tested and verified solution that solves the defined root cause. Our assignments are highly prioritized with high customer focus and will give you the authority to act rapidly with full support from the organization. Due to the varied nature of the tasks, you will quickly build a broad network of contacts both within Scania and with our suppliers. You will also have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge within specific technical areas through our cross-functional system groups.
Your profile
Your education level is probably a master's degree in mechanical engineering, or similar. Experience in Catia/Enovia is meritable but not required.
You are self-sufficient, pay attention to details, you are analytical and a natural problem solver with an interest in Scania and its products. The work allows you to be independent but requires responsibility and the ability to plan and prioritize as well as communicate and present your ideas and solutions.
The job requires you to be fluent in English, and preferably also in Swedish.
