To our AVL MTC office in Gothenburg we are now looking for Design Engineers for all types of Transmission and Electromobility systems. As an engineer at AVL you will work with cutting edge technology in collaboration with experts in the global AVL team and our customers. You will be working at our Engineering center at Lindholmen (Gothenburg) or as Resident Engineer at customers in the Gothenburg area. There are also possibilities to have assignments on other sites in Sweden or Europe.
We see that you have at least 3-5 years' experience from relevant areas and now are ready to take your next step in your carrier. You will participate in the ongoing and upcoming design projects within transmission and electromobility. We are working with projects in our own facilities and at our customers. It's important that you are open for and interested in working at our customers as consultant, being responsive and enjoys new challenges. We see that you have good social skills and always strives to deliver your uttermost. You should also have the ability drive your task forward and communicate without any problems in English and preferably also in Swedish.
Your Responsibilities: Design and/or integrate different parts of Transmissions or within Electromobility on part level, sub-system level and system level. (Example of typical transmission areas are: gears, shafts, bearings, housing, clutches, hydraulics and electro mobility: HV Battery, Electric Drive Unit, On board Charger) Be responsible for specifications of the detail design. Lead the designs towards different interfaces such as customers, suppliers, manufacturing sites, calculations and testing with main focus on attributes, cost, manufacturing feasibility and quality.
Your Profile: Good analytical capability. Good knowledge of machine elements. Experience from product development of transmissions and/or electromobility for light- or heavy-duty. Experience from hydraulics and/or clutches is an advantage. Knowledge in Hybrid Systems, HV batteries, Electric Machines, Inverters and On Board Chargers is an advantage. Good knowledge in 3D CAD modeling. Catia and Creo knowledge is an advantage. Being able to do FEM analysis on the design is meritorious. Good knowledge in specification creation (e.g. drawings) and manufacturing processes used for transmission production. Experience from a Gothenburg automobile OEM is meritorious. Very good social and communication skills in English (Swedish is meritorious). Well organized and enthusiastic team member that can lead the work forward. Eager to learn and guide your co-workers within your specialty Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent Drivers license B
Flera års erfarenhet av produktutveckling av transmissioner, God kunskap i 3D CAD. Gärna erfarenhet av arbete inom fordonsindustrin, mycket god social kompetens
