Customized solutions for trucks is an important and growing area where Scania aims to fulfil specific customer's demands and to enter new segments and markets.
The section RSM is responsible for the development of customized trucks (S-order) in areas from alternative fuels and electrification to specialized applications such as mining, heavy haulage and fire trucks. Everything we do starts with a direct customer request.

About the group
S-order Design, Construction is a group dedicated to fulfilling customer demands in the construction segment. We customize solutions for trucks with all-wheel drive, crane legs, heavy loads and much more based on creative combinations of Scania's modular system.
Time is an important factor and we work on short assignments with focus on delivering a solution on schedule. The tasks vary, but our top priority is always the customer.
At RSMC we work closely together and expect everyone to contribute to the team. We are often depending on each other's support and knowledge in different areas and we are proud to do our best in helping our colleagues. Here you always have someone to ask!
Your assignment
You will work with customer requests, orders and deviations in cooperation with mainly production, sales & marketing and distributors all over the world. Maintaining our existing solutions for future orders is also an important part of our job.
You will do technical investigations and create solutions in all product areas upon request. When the customer places an order you will design the truck in our systems. The requests include both existing products and new combinations or solutions.
As a designer you are expected to continuously improve and develop our routines and methods.
Your Profile
You are positive, enjoy learning new things and like to work with varying tasks. You are good at creating team spirit and have the ability to share experiences and information with your colleagues in a generous way. The work tasks are both individual and collaborative in a high pace which demand skills in initiative, communication and cooperation.
To us, the attitude towards learning and finding new solutions is more important than knowing everything your first day. However, if you have a lot of experience we are able to give you a challenge since there is a broad spectrum of assignments.
You are a graduate engineer (or similar) and have experience of development and/or production. You are interested in seeing the broader picture rather than details. Knowledge about Scania's products and modular system is highly meriting. Work experience from similar positions and tools such as OAS and Catia is also meriting.
