hela Sverige On behalf of the client, we are looking for you who have the right qualifications, experience and personality for this assignment.We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wiring Harness Designer. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of wiring harnesses within the automotive sector, ensuring functionality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the seamless integration of wiring harnesses into hybrid and fully electric vehicles. Your expertise will be instrumental in overcoming complex design challenges while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Assignment
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
• Design and develop wiring harness systems for powertrain solutions in hybrid and fully electric vehicles, including both low and high-voltage systems.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and product designers to understand system requirements and constraints.
• Create detailed wiring harness schematics, diagrams, and layouts using industry-standard design tools like AutoCAD Electrical, CATIA Electrical, and Mentor Graphics.
• Select appropriate components and materials to ensure optimal performance and durability.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of wiring harness designs to ensure reliability and functionality.
• Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams during assembly and production phases.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute innovative ideas to enhance product performance and user experience.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have/are:
• Academic degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Proven experience in designing wiring harness systems for powertrain systems or equivalent.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, CATIA Electrical, Mentor Graphics).
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to wiring harness design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish both written and oral.
