The role
The need for offshore submarine cable systems is growing steadily, especially on the European market where offshore wind power and a mutual energy market are prioritized areas.
As a supplier of complete cable systems, we are in an expanding phase where you will be an important part of our Accessories Engineering team.
Based on Engineering Orders from our internal Clients you will have the responsibility to develop the technical solution and prepare relevant documents to be able to purchase, manufacture, test and sell the cable accessories.
Your main tasks:
• Design and adapt cost efficient cable accessories in close collaboration with our internal Clients, which mainly are:
• Research & Development
• Tender teams
• Project teams
• Installation & Service
• Prepare relevant documentation like drawings, assembly instructions, check lists, packing lists....
• Prepare purchase requisitions.
Your profile
You probably have a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. You have at least 3-5 years ' experience working as a mechanical design engineer. Skills in SolidWorks and Windchill is beneficial and knowledge in SAP is meritorious. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary.
You need to be fluent in English. Swedish, German and/or Danish is preferred.
We assume you are a self-driven, motivated and innovative person, proactively proposing solutions. To succeed in this role, you need to have a structured way of working as well as the ability to communicate and build relationship with your team.
The Team
The Accessories Engineering team today consists of six Design Engineers and one Manager. The team is organizationally located in HV Solution. The Accessory Engineering team 's main responsibility is to, based on our internal Client 's Engineering Orders, develop and adapt cable accessories like rigid sea joints, hang-offs, pull-in heads, end caps, terminations and link boxes.
