The Technology Platform Mechanical Engineering is currently globally present at 8 sites. At our site in Eskilstuna we are responsible for development and improvement of Attachments and Special applications for Wheel Loaders.
Example of responsibility areas within attachments are all type of buckets, timber grapples, fork attachments, and attachment brackets. We also provide engineering support for special application development on Wheel Loaders to meet specific customer demands in a short lead time.
In order to strengthen the department?s competence and capacity to meet the future requirements we are now searching for a:
Design Engineer
Tasks and Responsibilities:
As Design engineer you are participating in all the development stages from concept to parts in production which means that you should be able to take responsibility and independently lead the tasks within your engineering area. You need to fulfil the quality and cost target for the component and plan for needed activities.
We are working with new development projects, cost-reduction projects and maintenance of products in production.
Engineering documentation is done in Catia V5. Other typical tasks are writing technical specifications, define product structure and work with product design.
In your daily work you will interact with Design engineers at other departments, Purchasing, Manufacturing, external suppliers, Product Platform, Product Design, etc., both locally and on other sites.

The job requires that you create a good network within and outside the company on a local and global base.
Since most of the projects are done in cross functional teams, good communicative skills and ability to work in teams is a must.
We believe you have the following qualifications:
• Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge and experience from product development in automotive or Off-Road industry is an advantage.
• Good knowledge in mechanical engineering and heavy weldments
• A few years? experience of working in CAD (preferably Catia V5)
• You have the ability to easily communicate in English both spoken and written.
