Your future challenge
We work in an interesting and evolving environment in which we are in the technical front position in order to meet the future needs of the products. As Design Engineer for laser receivers you will work with developing our laser products including theoretical calculations, development within the receiver technology area and other analogue electrical design. You will also test the solutions and participate during the integration and verification phase to evaluate and analyze the measurements obtained. We work in project teams which means that you will co-operate with other people from other competence areas.

You have a Master of Science or equivalent in electrical engineering or physics. Experience from work with design of optical receivers is a merit.
The position entails working with classified information and requires Swedish citizenship.
Place of action
Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat.
Microwave, Antennas and Laser, a department within Electronic Defence Systems, is responsible for the design of the antenna, microwave systems and laser systems included in several of Saab's radar- and sensor products. It means that we work in a very broad area of activity, from overall system design to hardware design and finally verification of integrated antenna and microwave systems. Within the department there are just about 85 employees.
To the Laser Design section, with about 7 employees, we are looking for a design engineer within the area laser receivers. The Design Engineer position implies work, in a comprehensive manner, within a wide range of competence areas, from analog design for optical systems to verification.
