Ålö AB, Sweden is the world leader in production and sales of agricultural front loaders and implements. The company has production in Europe, Asia and North America and our products are sold and marketed globally. The R&D department is located at our office in Brännland (Umeå), Sweden.
As a design engineer for control systems you will work with function and software development to our control units through either C or model based in Matlab/Simulink. You will have a leading role, closely associated to ongoing research projects, in our innovation of new control functions for the front loader application. As parts of the control system is safety critical and we have a strong focus on quality, tasks related to processes development, HW/SW toolchains and documentation should also be expected.
We believe that you have a PhD within control systems design and application experience of discontinuous nonlinear systems. Due to the nature of our products, experience and understanding of mobile hydraulics is also a requirement. You should have a strong competence in the Matlab/Simulink toolchain and certain knowledge in C-programming of real time systems.
Knowledge and experience within electronics, signal conditioning, metrology and sensor fusion is a benefit. Also, experience from relevant industries, such as automotive is beneficial.
As a person you should be motivated, able to work individually, used to take own initiative and overall a social team-player.
Fluent English is a requirement, if Swedish is not your native language, studies in Swedish in parallel to the employment is wished for.
