We currently have the following job opening;
Design Engineer, Bumper & Claddings
This is an assignment at Bumper & Claddings within the Module Team Exterior Systems. The Bumper & Claddings team handles all exterior plastic parts under belt: Front and rear bumper, grille, air guides, wheel arch extensions, rocker moldings, lower door moldings, plastic applique/recharge hatch etc.
As a design engineer you will be responsible for the development of a specific set of parts within a defined project. Depending on your background and ambitions you might also take the lead for an internal or external team of design engineers.
The work principles with in the Exterior System Module team are flexibility and the possibility to use what you excel at together with a strong sense of co-operation; this meaning that you as part of a larger team will also support activities in other areas as well as you will get support on your area.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Responsibility for the development of a set parts/system.
• Define technical input/part criteria together with Vehicle Package and Product Design
• Incorporate and loop tooling feedback from supplier in close cooperation with Mold Flow Expert
• Secure technical fulfillment as defined by the Concept Design Engineer
• Secure lessons learned through the System Group Manager for future projects
Requirements
• Plastic design know-how
• Genuine experience in ?Catia V5 and TCe
• Pragmatic approach to issue solving
• Strong strive for cooperation
• Experience from task lead within automotive is beneficial
• Experience within the system area is beneficial
• Fluency in English, both oral and written
• Driven problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
• Ability to travel
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
