Our Engineering department is creating a strong foundation of skills and we are therefore looking for a Design Engineer of Battery Box
Description
The organization, Design, Styling and Mechanical Integration that you will be part of, is responsible for requirement setting, design/implementation and Mechanical Integration. You will be part of a Team of Design Engineers that covers the total Car, and will work close with other designers regarding interfaces. Mechanical Integration is also an area where all designers have a close cooperation with, as well as participate at the early hardware builds. A Design Engineer is involved in all phases of a car project. The role involves:
• Generate detailed design solutions
• Be part of the daily interface work and agree on interfaces
• Contribute with design input in all needed Integration work
• Incorporate all Lessons Learned into the design solutions
• Being part of the interpretations of simulation results that will increase the quality of the design
• Collaborates internally with Project Engineers / Manufacturing Engineers and technical specialists.
• Anchor decisions, development and status with the responsible line management
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Relevant experience within development in Automotive Business, minimum 5 years
• Experience in concept engineering
• Siemens NX and Team center
• English and Swedish, both spoken and written.

• Be easy to work with for both internal and external "partners"

Your focus area will be design of Battery Boxes for EV cars but all persons in the Design Team will get opportunities to design different components in new materials and with other functions. We have an Individual long term plan per person, including mentors, to enable this.
Finally, the connectivity era of autonomous vehicles has just began, and we offer you a possibility to be part of that development.
Terms
National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current Collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
