This is us, your new colleagues
Volvo CE in Braås, located close to Växjö, develop autonomous and articulated haulers and wheel loaders. We do everything from product planning, development, sales and marketing to purchasing, manufacturing and assembly of the complete machine. The team
We are four design engineering teams responsible for new product and feature development, and aftermarket quality. Today these teams consist of engineers working in a supportive open landscape, closely together with production, purchasing, suppliers and aftermarket.

Now we need to strengthen our teams and we are looking for Design engineers who have the drive and passion to contribute to great teamwork and excellent innovations to meet future business challenges.

The role
As Mechanical design engineer you will be an important part of developing new products as well as improving quality and cost and implementing new feature for existing products. We are using advanced 3D software tools and VR in our development process. Another important part of the role is to contribute to the continuous development of our methods including our agile way of working.

Knowledge & experience
To be successful in your new role you need the following knowledge/experience:
M.Sc./B.Sc. degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
Experience from Mechanical Design
Strong communication skills in English, spoken and written
Catia v5 or other 3D-modelling software

It is an advantage if you have knowledge or experience from some of the following fields:
Off-road machinery/Heavy trucks, heavy weldments and casting/forging, sheet metal design, plastics design, installation of engine, electrics and hydraulics, FEM calculations, lean and Agile way of working.
