Role Overview
We are seeking multiple Design Engineers who are not only skilled in design but also ready to take on Lead Engineer responsibilities. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving the development process from conceptual design through to successful production launch. This position is based at our customer's office in Ängelholm.
Key Responsibilities
3D Modeling & Design: Utilize Catia V6 to create 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings that meet project specifications.
Product Launch Support: Assist in the transition of products into production, ensuring alignment with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) processes.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all products comply with necessary regulations and standards.
Testing & Verification: Organize and execute tests to verify the functionality and requirements of components.
Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical assistance to facilitate a smooth introduction into production.
Cost & Time Estimation: Accurately estimate the cost and time required for each component, collaborating closely with suppliers and technology providers.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with technical leads and other engineers to achieve project goals effectively.
Din Profil
Required Skills & Qualifications
CAD Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CAD, specifically Catia V5/V6, with the ability to design, manipulate, and visualize CAD data.
Engineering Expertise: Experience with various sub-systems, such as interior panels, plastic parts, tunnel consoles, carpets, restraints, and ambient lighting, understanding their design, function, and manufacturing requirements.
Excellent Communication: Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
PC Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Engineering Tools Experience: Significant experience with tools like Teamcenter, FMEA, Six Sigma, and problem resolution techniques.
Automotive Sector Experience: A successful track record in the automotive product development sector.
Educational Background: A degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience.
Project Delivery Knowledge: Familiarity with project delivery processes such as APQP and PPAP.
Desirable Attributes
Project Management Skills: Demonstrated capability to manage projects effectively, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
Supplier Collaboration: Experience working with suppliers and in international environments.
Self-Organized: Strong self-management and organizational skills.
Surface Products Knowledge: Familiarity with surface products and labels is an advantage.
Additional CAD Skills: Ability to generate CAD data in Catia V5 would be a plus.
