Design Engineer

We are looking for a person interested in Product Development tasks in general, but preferably towards engine and component design. You have ambitions and energy to develop yourself and the company in a way that later will lead to new tasks and responsibility. As a person you enjoy working in a team and have the ability to inspire your team colleagues and feeling engaged by goal settings. Since the job consists of an extensive net of contacts both internally and externally your networking skills should be very good and prioritized
The Medium Duty Engine Platform where you will work is responsible for the development and design of Volvo Penta diesel engines for marine and industrial use, in the range between 5 and 8 liters. We are located in Gothenburg and we are 19 people with an open and inclusive attitude. Our ambition is to keep a holistic view of our products and the team is taking care of all the different stages in the product cycle of the engines ? from advanced engineering and new development projects via product maintenance to quality issues and customer driven adaptations. This approach also means that you as a Design engineer will face a wide variety of tasks, from component design to leading smaller projects.
We think that you have a degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSc or BSc) or similar. You have proven experience in product development, preferably within the engine area. Good CAD skills with experience in the PTC Creo system. You have good skills in Swedish and English. Swedish driver?s license.
