Department Product Definition within the Product Development organization at Volvo Aero needs to strengthen its team with a Design Engineer working with defining our products in CAD models and drawings in NX and Teamcenter. The department is Center of Excellence concerning Geometric Product Definition for flying components. We develop, implement and support new way of working to create models and drawings in NX and configuration management in Teamcenter in a robust and efficient way within the company globally. We participate in the development of all our products in all different phases from technology development, through product development to sustaining engineering.
Scope
The work as Design Engineer spans over a wide range of different products and tasks, working with 3D models and 2D drawings and configuration management of them, throughout technology development, early stages of product development to sustaining engineering as well as support to the production line. You will be part of a design team and contribute to our success and designing new state of the art product solutions for our customers.
Core Responsibilities:
Working as a Design Engineer defining our products in 3D and 2D:
CAD modeling and drawings in NX
Configuration Management in Teamcenter
Competences:
We expect you to have a Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience from working with product development. You need to have working experience, preferably working with modeling and drawings for product development in NX and Teamcenter. Experience from working with flying components as well as NX certification is considered an additional qualification.
Industrial experience of product development and life cycle data management
Very good knowledge concerning CAD tools, NX and Teamcenter
Good knowledge in GD&T
Basic knowledge in manufacturing techniques
Analytic skill
Good verbal and writing skill in Swedish and English
Talented social skills and the ability to create effective networks and co-operate in teams
Ability to work both independently and in a group
Drive to improve
