Interior Comfort Systems is a Business Segment at Kongsberg Automotive, which manufactures seat comfort and climate systems for the car industry. Today we are six Engineers in the group that works with lumbar support, massage, seat heat, ventilation and headrests.
Role description
As Design Engineer, your main tasks are to:
• Analyze and interpret the customer requirements to determine feasibility of product proposal
• Analyze engineering problems using traditional analytical methods and FEA.
• Maintain relation with internal and external customer engineers.
• Deliver design documents into the projects (POI, NPI, and PIP)
• Create robust, cost effective and quality assured technical solutions
• Support and encourage the compliance to company quality standards and other quality requirements
• Work according to agreed processes, tools, and support continuous improvement of them
• Create 3D models in CAD appropriate for prototyping and for serial production
• Create 2D drawings including measures and tolerances to secure functionality, taking into account to enable good manufacturability and possibility to measure. Perform tolerance stack up calculations
Candidate profile
We are looking for you with a solid background of CAD, preferably Catia V5. We see that you have experience within the automotive business or similar and are used to working in multicultural teams on a global level. Fluent in English, both verbal and written, is a requirement.
As a person, you are independent and take great responsibility in your work. We believe that you have good communication skills, easily engage in your working tasks and cooperate well with you colleagues. It motivated you to work in a company with high working pace and you enjoy meeting new challenges along the way.
