The plant in Mullsjö is the Global Tech center for the business segments Powertrain & Chassis and Interior. At the R&D dep. in Mullsjö there are about 140 engineers.
Design Engineer
We are currently looking for an experienced design engineer to become an important piece of a seven engineer strong Interior-Comfort-system team devoted to develop systems for the car industry.
The team is responsible for developing products and systems such as; lumbar support, massage, seat heat, ventilation and headrests.
In your daily work you will have the opportunity to :
• Create robust, cost effective and quality assured technical solutions mainly in injection molded plastics and steel.
• Analyze and interpret the customer requirements to determine feasibility of product proposal
• Create 3D models and drawings in CAD appropriate for prototyping and for serial production
• Analyze engineering problems using traditional analytical methods and FEA-packages
• Maintain relations with internal and external customer engineers working on the product design
• Support and encourage the compliance to company quality standards and other quality requirements

Candidate profile
We are looking for an engineer with a solid background in CAD, preferably in Catia V5 or similar. We value knowledge from developing injection molded and sheet metal products. And we appreciate if you have both practical and theoretical approach to verify a solutions.
We believe that you have experience within the automotive industry or similar and are used to work in multicultural teams on a global level. Fluent in English, both verbal and written, is a requirement.
As a person, you are independent and take great responsibility in your work. We believe that you have good communication skills, easily engage in your working tasks and cooperate well with you colleagues. You are also motivated by working in a company with high working pace and you enjoy meeting new challenges along the way.
