The interior trunk trims are made as "build to print" projects to our production suppliers. All engineering work is made in-house by our team. Trunk trim is a highly focused area both from a functional and customer point of view which makes it an interesting part to work with. The trunk trim group lead many automotive projects at the same time. The group develops new system solutions that become implemented in our new car programs as well as yearly updates for current models. Our team is around twenty engaged people, both design engineers and group design leaders/project leaders. We have many interfaces towards other groups that work with different areas throughout our vehicles.
What you'll do
* Create primary and secondary document needed for the task
* Deliver 3D-models for virtual verification and to create prototype material for physical verification needed
* Deliver 3DPMI-models to specify production parts
* Contribute to secure function models and function sections
* Contribute to secure geometry and final demands
Do you fit the profile?
* Technical education - preferably University level
* Around 3 years of experience in working as a design engineer
* Proven experience in working with Catia V5 and Team center or similar
* Good knowledge in IT in general - used to PC and have knowledge in the most common programs like MS Word, MS Excel, LEQM e.
* Fluent in English - verbally, written and understanding
* Drivers licence
* Knowledge about Volvo's way of working and the Volvo system such as KDP is meritorious
* Proven experience in an Agile way of working according SAFe is also meritorious
