Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Due to Scanias future ambition in the area of sustainable transports and alternative fuels we need to strengthen our group that has the responsibility to provide Scania with viable and sustainable alternative fuel driven engines.

In this group we work mainly in the area of predevelopment and advanced engineering but also has the component responsibility for most alternative fuel specific components. The team is a small group of experts that need to cover a broad area of expertise.

Our work conditions are as demanding and challenging as they are rewarding and interesting for a technically driven person. This means that you will have full responsibility in your area of expertise, and your colleagues will match and support you with information and help from their areas. Team work capability is an essential success factor for us.

We hope to find a junior-to-senior design engineer for a position in our team at Engine Strategy & Components for Alternative Fuels at Scania in Södertälje, Sweden.

Qualifications

We hope you have prior experience in the use of some CAD tool, preferentilally Catia V5.

You should have around 2-5 years of experience of design engieneering. Experience of compression ignited and/or spark ignited combustion engine development is highly preferential but not mandatory. Right personality and skill set when coming to personal abilities such as effectiveness and personal drive can easily make up for any lack of prior engine expertise.

We value good communication skills with a customer oriented focus. An ambitious mindset and internal drive to support our suppliers, internal and external customers with quick and accurate information. A strong dedication to finishing tasks on expected delivery date with the right quality, is taken for granted.

We believe you have a masters degree or equal in the area of mechanical engineering or physics.

Come join us in making our next generation clean combustion engines having less emission pollutants.
