Propulsion Power Systems is expanding and several new engine projects are already in motion. The Intake & EGR systems group is a team of 11 members and part of the Dressed Engine section of the Engine Engineering department at Powertrain Research and Development. The group's responsibility is to develop the Intake Manifold system and the EGR system (Exhaust Gas Recirculation).
The Intake team is responsible for this system in all the current engines as well as new engine projects with the responsibility for designing, developing and verifying systems and components. You will work with the latest technology in order to reach the future characteristics and requirements in a very exciting field.
We are now looking for a skilled Component Responsible with a strong focus on project deliveries and skills in leading a cross-functional team.
As Component Responsible you will be working in projects from concept phase up until production start and aftermarket. You will coordinate and lead the work within your responsibility area, to reach the objectives and secure the deliveries within the given time and budget. Close contact with other areas within VCC Research & Development, purchase, manufacturing and suppliers are necessary. You will report to the project leaders and group manager. A portion of the work consists of CAD work.
Main responsibilities
* Application and development of Engine Management System components to the Engine and close cooperation with the supplier
* Develop components and technical solutions according to technical, quality, time and cost requirements
* Create and release technical documentation. (requirements, drawings /3D-models etc.)
* Plan and follow up status of component development and verifications testing, internal and external
* Initiate and assure corrective actions when deviations occurs
* Communicate the status and forecast
* Take part in developing and improving our way of working and methods
Required qualifications
* University degree in engineering or equivalent based on work experience
* Experience from automotive application and development of electronics and/or electronic control systems (both mechanical and electronic interfaces).
* Documented experience of CATIA or similar
* Good communication and computer skills
* Skilled in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing
* Driver's license B
It is meritorious if you have basic engine knowledge as well as experience from leading an X-functional team.
