Be a part of a Scania Research & Development team that applies its expertise and knowledge to technical project concerning chassis interfaces installations. Our job is finding new ways to improve products, methods, and processes with focus on modularity, innovation and quality. You must thrive in a high paced environment and help conceive and develop exciting and innovative designs.

You will be expected to:

• Be involved in the conceptual stages of new products, and as part of a cross-functional team create innovative designs and help optimize those components with regards to strength, styling, weight and cost.
• Cooperate with test engineers, production engineers and styling, taking your conceptual sketches to production-ready parts e.g. by rapid prototyping.
• Discuss and negotiate with suppliers on project plans and manufacturability.
• Create drawings, prepare reports and presentations, and effectively communicate your findings within various forums.
• Benchmark and analyze competitors with regards to chassis installations.

Requirements:

You are an engineer, preferable a mechanical engineer, with a minimum of three years' of experience as a designer.
