We have an immediate opening for a Design Director with international experience to join our team in Stockholm. As a Design Director you will be responsible for the creative and strategic output of a multi-disciplinary team of designers from concept through completion on a wide range of projects including (but not limited to) brand design, interactive design, motion design, brand activation, and environmental design. This role requires excellent time management and people skills as you will be working on multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with other departments, and responsible for client relationships, presentations, and mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities
Manage projects from initiation to completion - leading design through conceptualisation, execution, and production
Work closely with our Brand Strategists and Client Directors to realise projects with the highest level of creativity and respect for client's needs, schedule and budget
Lead a team of designers - you are an inspiring leader, proactive and energetic, and you are expected to mentor and share your experiences with junior team memebers
Lead presentations and workshops, both internal and external, and ensure effective communication.
Experience
Minimum 8+ years experience in branding design and experience leading a team
4 year university degree (or equivalent) in graphic design or a related field preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people, provide feedback and manage performance
Strong background in art direction, working closely with writers, photographers, illustrators, video producers, and coders
Expertise in print, motion, digital and interactive design and their design principles
Deep understanding of visual culture, technology, cultural trends, architecture, and related fields
Strong executive presence and communication skills with excellent written and verbal English
Practical understanding of 3D software and production is a strong plus (C4D, Houdini, Redshift, Blender, Rhino, Solidworks)
