Job Description
As a Design Competence Lead at H&M Menswear division, you will be supporting and leading the design team to facilitate empowered and skilled designers at various levels on our journey to further successes! You will contribute to design growth, profitability and customer value by driving learning, development and high performance within the function. You will be responsible for design processes, methods and new technical tools to be rolled-out, implemented as well as follow-up on them.
You work in close collaboration with the other Competence Lead for Design in menswear, as well as cross functional collaboration with other Competence Leads, Assortment Designers & Product Managers and more, within H&M brand. Your goal is to secure the best products from an assortment perspective for current and upcoming offers.
Responsibilities:
You contribute to growth, profitability and costumer value by driving learning, development and high performance within the Design function.
Drive and communicate the development agenda in accordance with the Assortment vision and goals
Support the team in identifying future opportunities for growth
You focus on ways of working on how to reach those future goals
Support and influence the organization in design, recruitment and succession within the Design function
Staff responsibility for approx. 15-20 people
Qualifications

To be successful in this role we believe that you have:
Work experience from a senior design role leading teams cross functionally in global fashion company/ies similar to H&M
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and coach team members and lead by example
A strong fashion visionary paired with salesmanship
You identify opportunities for growth and profitability
Strong competence and experience from work method and implementing of this as well as new tools
Great communication skills
Fluency in English, both written and verbal (Swedish not necessary)
