hela Sverige For our Nordic Operations we are looking for a Deputy Terminal Manager. You will be part of the operations organization with the responsibility for out terminal in Malmö. The terminal handles both liquid- and packed products. The terminal currently has 12 employees.
Key Tasks
Liaising with the sales department, stock control and transport
Planning and monitoring the receipt/storage of goods (manufactured and received) and the dispatch of orders
Working closely with stock control function and processing orders
Ensuring that quality and environmental objectives are met
Helping to keep stock control systems up to date
Helping to plan future stock holding requirements and capacity issues
Oversee picking, packing and distribution activity
Organizing the recruitment and training operatives (where necessary) as well as monitoring performance and progress of team members
Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure good levels of productivity are maintained
Helping the terminal manager to produce regular reports and statistics on daily, weekly and monthly basis as required
Liaising with the manager and briefing team members on a daily basis
Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
Plan and execute cycle count and stock take
Be part, and lead the team for continuous improvements
Other managerial tasks, such as appraisal talks, salary settings etc.
The Deputy Terminal Manager is expected to lead by example and do a lot of practical hands-on work. He/she must ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.
We Are Looking For
The right candidate have worked with similar tasks before and are a good communicator. Areas like warehouse management, warehouse administration and logistics are no news for you. If you have some form of leadership experience that is advantageous. You are well structured and have a drive for change and efficiency and are able to communicate in English and Swedish, both in speech and writing. Safety is at the top of the priorities, skills from this area are advantageous. You have a good understanding for IT and previous experience working with SAP is seen as an advantage.
