In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
• Lead the execution of the development and building of the new payment infrastructure trough 8+ teams 100+ individuals.
• Have a close dialogue with internal stakeholders to form a good understanding of the business needs.
• Work closely with the Business Owners and Agile Product Owners with a shared responsibility to prioritize the backlog for the Agile Release Train (ART) with crucial deliveries for reaching the critical deadlines for the establishment of a new payment infrastructure. In parallel with the effort for securing the stability in some of the bank's core payment systems - including the bank's mass-payment and salary systems servicing all customer segments of the bank.
• Set clear directions and prioritisation for the team.
• Support teams to understand how they contribute to the bank's Strategic Direction and secure we harmonize with the Swedbank Payment Strategy.
• Ensure that the teams proactively can build a payment infrastructure that meets the need from our product organisation and are compliant with the new market requirements.
• Take part of a Product Management with great variety of expertise in the payment infrastructure area where we take pride in sharing knowledge.
• Be part of the largest transformation journey in more than half a century within the payment area.

What is needed in this role:
• A genuine interest in development of large and complex transformations.
• Experience from coordinating large program/initiatives spanning over several business areas and teams.
• Used to working independently with high level of responsibility and are comfortable in decision making.
• Skilled in deeply understanding both the IT and Business-side of things.
• Demonstrated customer/end-user focus and documented experience leading agile development teams at scale.
• Ability to build networks and work collaboratively in a geographically distributed and diverse environment.
• Knowledge and experience from managing external suppliers.
• Structured, solution oriented with a strong driving force.
• Demonstrated leadership and excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in English; verbal and written.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, or a great reason for not having one.
• Experience in a Product owner or a stakeholder management role.
• Experience in IT.
• Well documented experience in the payment area is valuable.

The payment market is experiencing the largest transformation in over 50 years. In the upcoming years we are facing an extensive development agenda of market mandatory and regulatory activities. The market are undergoing a massive change and moving rapidly towards the ISO20022 format - both for international payments as well domestic payments. The latter, through the bank-wide initiative of P27 (a new pan-Nordic clearing platform that intends to bring together the payment infrastructure between the Nordic countries).

As Deputy Chief Product Owner in Payment Execution, you would work with the Chief Product Owner (being equivalent to SAFe Program Manager) and being responsible for the core of the payment infrastructure in Swedbank. Working through the agile SAFe metholodgy, the Payment Execution ART enables Swedbank to provide accessible, sustainable and frictionless payment methods for society.

We are now looking someone to support the Chief Product Owner to ensure that Payment Execution ART with our teams build a future proof, stable and long-term infrastructure solutions meeting the new market requirements - to handle large volumes, be reliable but at the same time flexible and changeable in nature.
