Kalmar is looking for Deputy Chief Engineer Reachstacker.
Deputy Chief Engineer for the product type Reachstacker within the Counter Balanced (CB) division, based on customer needs, legislation and internal requirements and according to business strategies.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Deputy for Chief Engineer according to agreement and in coordination with R&D Managers
Support Chief Engineer with daily tasks such as SI/SC, Cost project, Customer orders, Product Care cases
In consultation with the responsible Line Manager plan and perform activities according to specified requirements and project milestones
Responsibility together with Chief Engineer for regularly reporting to Line Manager regarding outcome and possible deviations
In consultation with responsible Line Manager and Chief Engineer perform customer and supplier visits
Work as a "normal" designer besides the Deputy work.
What you'll need to succeed
Education:
B.Sc or M.Sc. degree within relevant field or similar knowledge through experience.
Experience:
Solid technical knowledge regarding non-road mobile machinery or similar rubber tire vehicles
Experience of product development activities within mechanical engineering is needed
Experience from similar tasks are qualifying
Experience regarding other Kalmar products are qualifying.
Competencies:
High level of planning skills is important
Business- and market mindset, focus on customer needs
Good knowledge in engineering tools for design, used by Kalmar
Analytical and structural ability
Driving force and be result oriented
Problem solver, positive attitude
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
