Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Introduction - general:

After several years of research and development in autonomous technology Scania is now reaching the deployment stage for some of our customer initiatives. We are now looking for more colleagues (2) to work as Deployment managers to support the customer initiatives in the deployment process as well as establishing the ways of working required for efficient deployment. The role is highly flexible, and will include building a collaborative network across the Scania organisation.

Focus Scania Autonomous Solution (ZS):

Scania Autonomous solutions focusses on commercialisation of autonomous technology and the development and implementation of new business models. We determine the market strategy and priorities and evaluate leads with the goal to agree with customer on initiatives. As a next step we create the customer solution and build the ecosystem surrounding the core autonomous functionality. In order to do this successfully, we build up local operations and partnerships and we collaborate and synch with other Scania departments.

Focus Scania Autonomous Solutions- Deployment (ZSD):

ZSD leads the deployment of autonomous initiatives. The purpose is:

• gain fast customer verification and business case validation
• implement agreed upon initiatives

We plan and co-ordinate activities internally and externally to ensure that the initiatives are enacted appropriately, managing issues and monitoring progress. We deploy new initiatives in tight co-operation with customers, other parts of ZS and Scania, as well as other stakeholders.

Our mission:

• we assure that all relevant deployment aspects are represented in the customer engagement process (in co-operation with ZSC- customer engagements) up until contract signage
• from contract signage until hand-over to ZSD- operations we make sure that the initiative is implemented (potentially stepwise) and ready for operations (in co-operation with the customer, relevant other parts in Scania and external partners)
