hela Sverige Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager the Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for all unit finished goods forecasting activities. He/she creates and maintains forecast models for their assigned products/customer base, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, operations, replenishment analysts, and other sources (i.e.: statistical models, syndicated consumer data, etc).
Responsibilities
Basic forecast modelling in our S&OP planning tool. Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
Refine systems and methods to continually improve forecasts so that the company can better anticipate customer needs.
Create statistical forecasts:
Review sales plans, finance budget updates and demand drivers:
Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with sales, marketing and finance personnel:
Provide input to all demand volume planning (latest estimates / annual process / quarterly financial forecast)
Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process.
Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.
Qualifications / Background
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
APICS certification is preferred.
Some years of demand or supply planning experience.
Excellent communication and follow up skills to manage expectations and resolve conflicts with stakeholders.
Strong numerical problem-solving skills. Ability to boil down vast amount of data to the relevant points.
Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams on an international basis.
Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint a must.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to read, write and speak in English
