You will be part of the supply chain team at one of the key home furnishing retailer in the world. You will understand and specialize yourself in a global and modern supply chain topics.
You will be responsible to predict the customers buying behaviour and demand for IKEA products on a global level. You will refine your predictive analytical skills by using complex statistical methods and IT systems. You will understand and learn how the home furnishing products are developed to meet our customers.

And what do we offer you in this assignment?
You will act as the link between Sales and Supply, turning in depth analysis of our sales history into an accurate forecast that is used to secure the availability of our products to our customers around the globe. In addition, being the Supply Organisation's speaking partner with the Retail organisation, you will turn global and national sales plans into product level forecasts by predicting when, where and in what quantities the products will be sold in the Customer Meeting Points. You will contribute in building a smarter, slimmer and more cost-effective supply chain, enabling availability at lowest possible cost!
Your daily tasks will include:
• Responsible for the demand forecast
• Responsible to set the statistical model parameters for the demand forecasts for all articles, on all levels
• Responsible to align the demand forecasts in relation to the global sales forecast frame together with Business Navigation and Sales functions
• Responsible to translate number of selling units into the demand forecast
• Contribute to set the initial forecast for new articles and responsible to split the initial forecast all level
• Responsible to set-up the demand forecast of new articles by deciding start up ramp and expected yearly demand pattern
• Responsible to incorporate sales plans into the demand forecast and to contribute with information to sales planning
• Responsible for evaluating and inputting agreed quantities for country activity and campaign requests
• Responsible to work close to together with and keep relevant stakeholders informed about relevant changes in the demand forecast
• Contribute to the development of the processes in connection to demand planning
